Optima supported Kosmos & Schlumberger on the early well tests in Ghana, as well as working with Tullow & Expro on the Jubilee field.

Optima now have a number of ongoing projects in Ghana and as they develop their local content decided to continue their Education Initiatives by sponsoring www.energy4me.org kits to be used by SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) members in schools in Accra & Takoradi Optima Director, Colin Black commented "As SPE Aberdeen Section SCG (School Career Guidance) Chairman and member of the energy4me global committee I promote engagement between schools and the energy sector worldwide. Optima work with numerous schools locally and internationally so with our track record in Ghana we are only too pleased to sponsor this great initiative".

The energy4me kits and Oil industry books were formally handed over at a British Embassy reception in Accra, Ghana on Monday 6th Dec 2011.
