Mechanical Charge Hand

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

The Mechanical Charge Hand will be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Supervisor with the day to day running of Optima's Hydro-Boost fleet / personnel ensuring on time delivery and maintenance / servicing to Optima's ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Key activities and tasks:
- Liaise with other members of the delivery team (Field Service / Hydro-Lift / Rig Cooling fleet) to ensure all projects fulfil the clients requirements of on time delivery and service quality
- Assist the Mechanical Supervisor with the maintenance and upkeep of the mechanical workshop bay and stores as such that the department stays too its high safety and quality level
- Monitoring and evaluate the mechanical services and products received from 3rd parties and suppliers
- Supervise the servicing, maintenance and upkeep of on and offshore Hydro-boost units and other ancillary items within the Hydro-boost fleet when required to the highest standard, to ensure quality and service to our clients
- To provide hands on training to the service and maintenance of mechanical units
- To assist project teams when required for technical and experience input
- To assist with the tracking of Hydro-Boost assets when out on jobs
- Update status of mechanical equipment at and for weekly operations meetings when Mechanical Supervisor is unavailable
- Assist the Mechanical Supervisor with the maintenance of mechanical equipment throughout Optima yard
- To mentor the mechanical apprentices ensuring their constant development

Experience of working with offshore equipment would be desirable. Also pumping equipment and diesel mechanical experience would be preferable.

Field Service Coordinator

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

OPTIMA are looking to recruit a Field Service Coordinator to join their Operations Team. In this role you will work closely with the Field Service Manager, Senior Field Service Coordinator and logisitcs team in order to run and plan projects, operations and personnel. The successful candidate should possess the following skills; strong communication with all members of the delivery team, planning, projects/personnel management and delivery.

Key activities and tasks:
- Responsible for daily operations / technical support to the Optima team
- Undertake client relationship activity where required to maintain and further develop relationships
- Oversee processing of rig survey information to enable the effective allocation of equipment
- Communicate effectively with all departments as necessary throughout the workflow procedure
- Assist in the development of plans for operational activity
- Adhere to the Optima Management system assisting with development where necessary
- Liaise and complete instruction from the SFSC & FSM
- Mentor and assist in the development of all offshore staff including appraisals
- In the absence of the FSM and SFSC facilitate weekly operations meetings
- Complete pre job and end job reviews with offshore personnel where required
- Ensure lessons learned (OJIP, NCRS) are captured and closed out working closely with QHSE specialist where required
- Attend necessary client pre job or HAZOP meetings
- Participate in On call when required
- Full and current UK driving licence essential
