UK QHSE Advisor

OPTIMA are looking to recruit a UK QHSE Advisor. This person will be responsible for leading implementation of Corporate and Divisional QHSE strategies, policies, procedures and processes, under limited supervision and for achieving a safer, environmentally compliant workplace, by taking a proactive approach.

Key activities and tasks:
- Assume responsibility for TETRA Technologies and all product lines within the UK
- Assume responsibility for the management and development of the HSEQ and competence management systems
- Provides leadership and coaching to facilitate continuous QHSE awareness focussing on continuous improvement
- Participates in diverse activities such as setting QHSE objectives, tender response, developing internal training programmes, HSE evaluation of new products and equipment, carrying out risk assessments, staff inductions, contractor QHSE evaluation, incident investigation, QHSE inspections/audits, HSE meetings
- Interface with and provide various levels of leadership, supervision, data interpretation and QHSE advice to business development, operations personnel, shared services personnel, clients, subcontractors and regulatory agencies
- Assist and advise in the monitoring and implementation of HSE plans
- Produce monthly statistical information on QHSE performance and maintain QHSE records
- Advise on and monitor compliance with safety legislation
- Act as mentor, trainer, advisor and communicator across the entire workforce creating maximum impact on the value of embracing positive HSEQ behavioural attitudes
- Constantly act as a catalyst for step-change in safety behaviour, attitude and performance, fostering excellent working relationships with other internal functions
- Contribute from an HSEQ perspective in the preparation and presentation of bids and proposals
- From an HSEQ perspective, act as a focal point of contact with clients, regulatory bodies and government agencies
- Ensure that equipment / machinery inspections / calibrations are maintained to current standards / certifications
- Undertake internal HSEQ compliance audits/tours to ensure compliance with company and industry standards
- Liaise with management and staff to develop, maintain and improve HSEQ systems and processes
- Undertake HSEQ KPI analysis and reporting
- Compile, monitor and report accident statistics in order to set targets for continuous improvement

Qualifications / Education:
- Possess relevant Health and Safety qualifications, such as NEBOSH National General Certificate or similar such as NVQ level III
- Experience in Quality Assurance Management in Oil and Gas projects or a similar environment
- Proven track record in improving and implementing HSEQ strategies, policies, systems and procedures, whilst fostering excellent working relationships internally and externally with clients and regulatory bodies (essential)

Mechanical Charge Hand

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

The Mechanical Charge Hand will be responsible for assisting the Mechanical Supervisor with the day to day running of Optima's Hydro-Boost fleet / personnel ensuring on time delivery and maintenance / servicing to Optima's ISO 9001:2000 standard.

Key activities and tasks:
- Liaise with other members of the delivery team (Field Service / Hydro-Lift / Rig Cooling fleet) to ensure all projects fulfil the clients requirements of on time delivery and service quality
- Assist the Mechanical Supervisor with the maintenance and upkeep of the mechanical workshop bay and stores as such that the department stays too its high safety and quality level
- Monitoring and evaluate the mechanical services and products received from 3rd parties and suppliers
- Supervise the servicing, maintenance and upkeep of on and offshore Hydro-boost units and other ancillary items within the Hydro-boost fleet when required to the highest standard, to ensure quality and service to our clients
- To provide hands on training to the service and maintenance of mechanical units
- To assist project teams when required for technical and experience input
- To assist with the tracking of Hydro-Boost assets when out on jobs
- Update status of mechanical equipment at and for weekly operations meetings when Mechanical Supervisor is unavailable
- Assist the Mechanical Supervisor with the maintenance of mechanical equipment throughout Optima yard
- To mentor the mechanical apprentices ensuring their constant development

Experience of working with offshore equipment would be desirable. Also pumping equipment and diesel mechanical experience would be preferable.

Base Mechanic

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

OPTIMA are looking to recruit a Base Mechanic. The successful candidate will be a key member of the mechanical department and will deliver tasks assigned by the mechanical supervisor.

Key activities and tasks:
- To maintain and improve the mechanical workshop bays and stores to such a level that it becomes a fully functional independent department
- To be a key member of the mechanical team and support all mechanical activities within Optima's facilities, evaluating and recommending innovations to drive continuous improvement
- To service diesel units to the highest standard, to ensure quality and service to our clients
- Assist in the design of new equipment
- Liaise with warehouse supervisor regarding mechanical requirements
- To provide hands on training on the service and maintenance of diesel units
- Create and present a technical presentation on the operation and safety issues surrounding the service and functionality of diesel units
- To ensure the service vehicles and forklifts are in a safe operating condition
- To ensure adherence to the lock out procedure for all mechanical devices
- To assist project teams when required for technical and experience input
- The creation and documentation of relevant procedures i.e. equipment request forms, maintenance sheets, quality system and training matrix for apprentice mechanics
- Support mechanical supervisor in monitoring and evaluating the services and products received from 3rd parties and suppliers

Experience of working with offshore equipment would be desirable. Also pumping equipment and diesel mechanical experience would be preferable.

Field Service Coordinator

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

OPTIMA are looking to recruit a Field Service Coordinator to join their Operations Team. In this role you will work closely with the Field Service Manager, Senior Field Service Coordinator and logisitcs team in order to run and plan projects, operations and personnel. The successful candidate should possess the following skills; strong communication with all members of the delivery team, planning, projects/personnel management and delivery.

Key activities and tasks:
- Responsible for daily operations / technical support to the Optima team
- Undertake client relationship activity where required to maintain and further develop relationships
- Oversee processing of rig survey information to enable the effective allocation of equipment
- Communicate effectively with all departments as necessary throughout the workflow procedure
- Assist in the development of plans for operational activity
- Adhere to the Optima Management system assisting with development where necessary
- Liaise and complete instruction from the SFSC & FSM
- Mentor and assist in the development of all offshore staff including appraisals
- In the absence of the FSM and SFSC facilitate weekly operations meetings
- Complete pre job and end job reviews with offshore personnel where required
- Ensure lessons learned (OJIP, NCRS) are captured and closed out working closely with QHSE specialist where required
- Attend necessary client pre job or HAZOP meetings
- Participate in On call when required
- Full and current UK driving licence essential

Engineer

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

OPTIMA are looking to recruit an Engineer. The successful candidate would require to have basic 2D CAD, for layout and P&ID. As part of the role you will be required to run heat simulations and pipe flow after training. The successful candidate will be required to undertake rig visits.

Project Engineer

Location: Cove, Aberdeen

OPTIMA are looking to recruit a Project Engineer. The successful candidate would require to have basic 2D CAD, for layout and P&ID. As part of the role you will be required to run pipe flow simulations after training. A knowledge of pumping system would be preferred.

As part of the role you may be required to undertake rig visits. The role will involve 3D structural design, such as pump frames and piping assembly. Solidworks experience would be preferred. In this role the successful candidate will take control of individual product design, conception and realisation.
